On Thursday March 25th six young music students from the Alice Springs region had the opportunity to attend an informal music workshop with Sydney band Bluejuice.
Bluejuice were in town as part of the line up for the massive One Night Stand concert, presented by triple j and featuring our very own Tjupi Band.
The workshop, presented by Music NT and CAAMA Studios, gave students the rare opportunity to meet the band members, to have a chat and ask questions over a pizza! They then watched the band rehearse for the One Night Stand gig at Traeger Park, scheduled the next night.
“The best thing was that we actually got to talk to a band who had a record label, and to hear it from their point of view. It was really inspiring,” said Robert McKay, a CDU VET student who attended the workshop.
Music NT would like to thank the fellas of Bluejuice who generously gave their time and energy to support emerging musicians in Alice, and Micko from CAAMA for the space to make it happen.
