Casuarina Secondary College punk-pop band Skarlett are currently sitting at #1 in the triple j Unearthed High Charts!

They are also at number #1 in the punk and overall triple j Unearthed charts!

Their song ‘Hey Georgia’ is part of the annual national competition Unearthed High, where triple j searches for “the BEST ACT from high school in Australia”.

Made up of two sets of brothers (who are also cousins), Skarlett band members are Sam Weaver, 14, (lead vocals, bass), Jack Weaver, 17, (lead guitar, vocals), Arran Barker, 14, (rhythm guitar, vocals) and power drummer extraordinaire, Lachlan Barker, 10.

Eligible bands must be at high school (Years 7-12) and upload an original song to the Unearthed website. The songs are then voted for online by triple j listeners. The winning band will have their song recorded in Sydney and play a gig at their high school with profile band The Living End.

Voting for the Unearthed High winner finishes on July 25; Skarlett are appealing to you to listen to their song and to cast your vote, to help to keep them a contender for the major prize.

You can vote for Skarlett here and visit their Unearthed page.
