Hot Shots 2011 opens fire!

HOT SHOTS is back for 2011!

HOT SHOTS is a fantastic Northern Territory music photography competition that focuses on the wealth of music talent – and music photography talent – in the Northern Territory.

An ongoing Music NT initiative, HOT SHOTS will run in in conjunction with the 2011 iNTune Music Conference in Darwin and Alice Springs.

It’s all about celebrating original music in the Northern Territory, through the eyes of ‘the punter’. HOT SHOTS will allow NT musicians and music events to be exposed to audiences in a fun and engaging manner.

If you haven’t seen last year’s amazing photos, click here for the online exhibition.

The photos for the inaugural Hot Shots Music Photography Competition 2010 poured into Music NT from all over the Northern Territory.

Twenty-three photographers – amateur and professional – entered over 40 photos into the competition, which featured NT bands and artists, and shots of bands performing in the NT.

The winners were Duane Preston for ‘Best Photo’, and and Michael Smith for ‘People’s Choice’ Award (see image below).

The finalists’ photos have been made available for viewing online at the Music NT website HERE.

This is a great opportunity to support the many photographers in the NT who document our awesome music talent!
