The Bush Bands Bash is a showcase of contemporary Indigenous music from Central Australia.

It will take place on Saturday September 10, 2011, at Anzac Oval, Alice Springs, from 6.30pm – midnight.

Supported by Music NT, the 2011 bands will also participate in Bush Bands Business, a week-long professional development ‘band camp’ held in the lead up to the Bush Bands Bash concert at Alice Springs Desert Festival on September 10 at Anzac Oval, Alice Springs.

Since beginning in 2003, Bush Bands Bash – and the bands involved – has steadily gained national attention and exposure.

The 2011 Bash concert – and Business workshop program – was featured on Radio National’s Awaye! program, with feature articles published on Crikey.com and Arts Hub.

The 2011 program also sees national arts grant fund The Seed partner with Music NT, to provide three music industry mentors to participate in the Bush Bands Business.

Music NT congratulates the 2011 bands!
