Unbroken Expanse announce ‘Two Fists’ tour

After a busy year performing in the Territory and a recent tour fundraiser, Unbroken Expanse have decided to complete 2011 by announcing the ‘Two Fists’ tour.

The six-date mini-tour will take in Darwin, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek over November and December, starting November 11 at Happy Yess in Darwin, to coinciding with AusMusic Month on triple j.

The popular hard-rockin’, kilometre-clockin’ four-piece from Tennant Creek released their debut album Jeg Rock in early May, and since have supported it playing over 30 throughout the year.

This includes at festivals BASSINTHEGRASS, HEAVYbyHEAVY, Bastardfest, Terrorfest, the Happy Yess 5th Birthday marathon, the Darwin Showbag original music showcase at iNTune, and as one of the the three Territory bands hand-picked to support Sydney legends Frenzel Rhomb at Darwin Ski Club on October 8.

Dates for the Unbroken Expanse ‘Two Fists’ tour so far include:

  • Fri 11th Nov – Happy Yess (Darwin)
  • Sat 12th Nov – Darwin Railway Club & (another TBC)
  • Fri 18th Nov – Youthlinx (Tennant Creek)
  • Sat 19th Nov – Jackson’s Bar (Tennant Creek)
  • Fri 25th Nov – Annie’s Place (Alice Springs)
  • Sat 26th Nov – Youth Hub – (Alice Springs)

Frontman Wheezy ‘Banger’ Helmond says that the band are “REALLY REALLY excited” about the prospect of taking their music to a larger audience.

He adds “we’re  more eager than ever to play to Territory crowds.”

“This entire year has been a gift and now it’s time to give back what we’ve been given and a million per cent more; on stage!”

“Playing with bands like Frenzal Rhomb, all the festivals, our shows, backyards, fundraisers; it’s all been so hectic, but we just keep getting hungrier and hungrier!”
