Songpier launched in Australia

Music marketing company SGC Media today announced in a media release the Australian launch of SONGPIER, a “free tool for musicians to create their own mobile app for use on iPhone, iPad, Android and more”.
A finalist for MidemNet Lab mobile app of the year at this year’s Midem music conference,  SGC Media say that “SONGPIER allows any artist to upload content and create their own mobile app, free of charge.”

SGC Media MD Stephen Green says, “the behemoth of mobile continues to roll onwards through the music industry. Until now, artists  have had to choose between ignoring their fans on mobile or paying thousands for apps which will  only work on one device and often force you to share your revenue for in-app purchases, so most  are still sitting on the sidelines of mobile.”

He said “the service was launched in Europe earlier this year in beta and has been enormously successful with new features being added each month since launch.”

“The service now boasts integration with  major social networks, powerful analytics, video and audio streaming, event listings and the important ability to sell music, tickets and merch without fees to app stores.”
