MUSIC NT ORIGINAL MUSIC SHOWCASE AT DARWIN FESTIVAL

The best of the Territory’s emerging local artists performed at venues across Darwin including the brand new Lighthouse venue during the 2009 Darwin Festival, and iconic original music venue, Happy Yess. The artists are: The Moving Targets, Jess Ribeiro and The Bone Collectors, Mark Hilton and The Lavender girls, Cooperblack and 2 Cats 1 Hat.

TRIPLE J UNEARTHED SHOWCASE GIG

Music NT partnered with triple j Unearthed to make a showcase slot available to an Unearthed band from Darwin at this year’sDarwin Festival, on Thursday August 20th at The Lighthouse. Darwin band The Aviators won the opportunity to perform in front of over 30 leading Australian music industry figures and a pumping festival crowd. Music NT congratulates The Aviators!!

Music NT – Your Music Office

Music NT exists to support the growth and development of original contemporary music in the Northern Territory. Music NT Inc. is the non-profit member based music organisation for the Northern Territory representing, developing and servicing the Territory’s original music industry.

As the lead contemporary music development body, Music NT has a focus on developing and strengthening networks with national music industry representatives as well as strengthening links with regional centres throughout the Territory.

Music NT operates offices in Darwin and Alice Springs.
