The iNTune Music Conference returns for 2010 and brings with it some of Australia’s leading music industry figures for two days or panels, workshops and showcases.  The program will be released soon and will provide musicians and members of the music industry the opportunity to discuss the latest issues in the music business, find out the best path to take as a musicians and form new networks and contacts over an exciting two days.  If you have any interest in music or the music industry this is the opportunity you should make the most of.

Music NT has secured some of Australia’s leading Music Industry figures to bring musicians in the Northern Territory unparalleled access to the pulse of the national music industry.  iNTune provides delegates with an opportunity to forge lasting networks due its intimate nature, enabling greater access to the national panelists and giving you the opportunity to let them know who you are and what you are up to.    The first announcement of speakers brings individuals with experience across a wide field and promises an exciting and rewarding two days for iNTune delegates.  The first announcement includes Cath Haridy who was once A&R at Festival Mushroom records and now manages two of Australia’s top bands Eskimo Joe and Bob Evans amongst a number of other artists and producers. Clive Hodson who was previously the General Manager of Shock Publishing and a previous attendee of iNTune. Julian Hewitt from Media Arts Lawyers, Mark Lackey from the Atlas Touring agency who works with acts including Blue King Brown and Ash Grunwald. Stacey Piggott whose freelance publicity agency Two Fish out of Water works with many high profile bands and festivals including Splendour in the Grass. Dave Haley who is the drummer from one of Australia’s top Metal bands Psycroptic who will also be running a drummers masterclass and many more.  Full speaker details will be available soon.

Showcase

Worldfly

The iNTune Showcase for 2010 is held in Partnership with the Darwin Festival.  The concert features two acts that have had a great impact on the Northern Territory music scene.   Worldfly are one of the leading groups to emerge from the Northern Territory having undertaken numerous national and international tours.  This show in Darwin is their last before they embark on their latest European tour so it’s a rare chance to catch them at home.  For this show they will be supported by the triple J unearthed winners The Moving Targets in what is surely to be a hard to miss double bill.
