AMRAP recently announced a new opportunity for all Australian unsigned music artists. AirIT is a digital music download distribution system (read “Australian music catalogue”), exclusively available to Australian community radio stations. Previously, only signed artists were eligible to particpate.

Things have now changed. AMRAP recently announced that unsigned artists are now eligible to sign up. “Air It enables labels and unsigned artists to get music to more stations to inspire national impact through community radio.”

For more information on how to get involved, visit the AMRAP’s AirIT website.

He sat on Arts Tasmania’s grants advisory panel to allocate funds to artists, and community radio’s national Digital Radio Standing Committee. He won the ‘Career Achievement’ category at the 2006 Tasmanian Young Achiever awards. He took on management of Amrap – The Australian Music Radio Airplay Project – when it was revitalised with Commonwealth Government funding in 2008.
