Want to Showcase at Fuse 2011?!

Music NT has is seeking bands for one performance slot at Fuse Festival 2011 held exclusively for Northern Territory artists. One selected band will receive a $1500 stipend to travel to perform at Fuse, courtesy of Sonicbids. Fuse Festival is the longest running music business event in Australia. From February 16th to 18th, 2011 Fuse showcases the best new talent from across the country- 60+ acts in 20+ venues over two nights, attended by music industry professionals from across the globe.
Music NT supports the growth and development of original and contemporary music in the Northern Territory. They present a number of events to further their mission including the Indigenous Music Awards, NT Music Month, and the iNTune conference, which is one of the biggest and most exciting music industry events in the Northern Territory.

Fuse East/West 2011 is one of the leading music industry events in Australia. It’s great opportunity opportunity to connect with over 50 of the world’s leading music industry professionals. Fuse will showcase Australia’s hottest new music, provide insightful panel discussions and money-can’t-buy networking opportunities.

Wanna be part of Long Way To The Top End II?

Expressions of interest are currently being sought by Alice Rae (Country Town Collective) for NT bands and artists to be part of the Long Way To The Top End tour to the 2011 Fuse Festival in Adelaide. Funding from Arts NT is currently being sought to support another tour in 2011 – 14 NT bands were part of the successful contingent to the 2009 Fuse Music Festival & Conference.

Alice is a Darwin based musician and organiser of the independent music event “Long Way To The Top End”. She works in the community development arena, performs with the band Country Town Collective and has been involved in putting on a range of music events in Darwin and Adelaide.

The Fuse Festival in Adelaide starts this week and is a great chance to check in the with the rest of the Australian Music Industry. Last years event shook with the Long Way To The Top Entourage where NT music was firmly placed at the forefront of peoples minds. If you are heading to Fuse as a band, manager or musician take the opportunity to learn, network, make contacts and have fun.

The Fuse Festival in Adelaide is calling for Artists to submit applications for showcase. Fues os one of the leading Music conferences in Australia and a great opportunity to perform in front on leading national industry figures.
