Music NT has is seeking bands for one performance slot at Fuse Festival 2011 held exclusively for Northern Territory artists. One selected band will receive a $1500 stipend to travel to perform at Fuse, courtesy of Sonicbids. Fuse Festival is the longest running music business event in Australia. From February 16th to 18th, 2011 Fuse showcases the best new talent from across the country- 60+ acts in 20+ venues over two nights, attended by music industry professionals from across the globe.
Music NT supports the growth and development of original and contemporary music in the Northern Territory. They present a number of events to further their mission including the Indigenous Music Awards, NT Music Month, and the iNTune conference, which is one of the biggest and most exciting music industry events in the Northern Territory.

Fuse East/West 2011 is one of the leading music industry events in Australia. It’s great opportunity opportunity to connect with over 50 of the world’s leading music industry professionals. Fuse will showcase Australia’s hottest new music, provide insightful panel discussions and money-can’t-buy networking opportunities.

Artist submissions are now open to non-WA acts to play at next year’s West Australian Music Industry Festival (WAMi) Showcase. The WAMi Festival will run from 19-23 May, 2010. Submissions close on Friday 15 January. WAMi Festival Director Sarah Norton says that in addition to local WA acts being programmed at next year’s festival, “A couple of acts from outside WA will also be given spaces”.

The Fuse Festival in Adelaide is calling for Artists to submit applications for showcase. Fues os one of the leading Music conferences in Australia and a great opportunity to perform in front on leading national industry figures. The NT had a strong presence in 2009 through the “Long Way To The Top End” showcases so it would be great to keep a strong focus on whats happening up North. For more details check out the link

The Australasian World Music Expo returns to the Melbourne Arts Centre from 19-22 November. It is calling for applications from artists wishing to showcase in before international and national festival bookers, booking agents, record labels, managers and media. Trad and contemporary Indigenous and world music performers are particularly encouraged to apply. Preference given to those whose music is export-ready.
