MusicNT want ensure that our website is made easier to use and more accessible for people with disabilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

Our website makes available the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget. This accessibility menu can be enabled either by hitting the tab key when the page first loads or by clicking the accessibility menu icon that appears on the middle right of each page. Office Accessibility

Visiting MusicNT in Garramilla/Darwin

MusicNT's Top End office is located on level two of Harbour View Plaza. While the street address is 8 McMinn Street, Darwin City, the visitor and disabled parking is located at the end of Leydin Court. Please note visitor parking is limited to two hours.

Entry to level two can be gained via an elevator either from the basement if arriving by car, or via the ground floor through the double, automated doors if entering by foot from McMinn Street.

The lift entry is 91cm wide with no steps and the disabled parking is located approximately 20m from the lift entry on the basement level. There is an entry pathway from the disabled and other outdoor parking to the undercover parking and lift entry that is 134cm wide.

If accessing the office via public transport, please note that we are located 450m from the Darwin City Bus Exchange on Harry Chan Avenue.

Office Access

Parking Bay 71 is the disabled parking bay for the building and does not have any time restrictions. It is located approximately 20m from the elevator entry. An ACROD permit is required to park in this bay.

Entry to the underground parking area and lift entry is via this pathway, the entrance of which is 134cm wide.

There are two lifts available to take you from the basement parking (or ground level if entering from the street). Both lift entries are 91cm wide.

The MusicNT office, located on the second floor, is directly in front of the lifts and has a doorway that is 90cm wide, but can be extended to 170cm wide. This is where our hot desk and general meeting spaces are located. Furniture can be moved as required.

The second floor of Harbour View Plaza has two bathroom facilities. The doorways for both are 75cm wide.

Each bathroom facility contains an accessible toilet with a door 72cm wide and support rails on both walls.

Visiting MusicNT in Mparntwe/Alice Springs

MusicNT's Central Australian office is located in heritage-listed building 'The Old Courthouse' on the corner of Parsons and Hartley Streets in Alice Springs CBD. There is no dedicated parking available on site and limited street parking offered.

The nearest public parking is either at Alice Plaza (entrance via Todd St) located 350m from the office entry or Yeperenye Shopping Centre, located 280m from the office entry.

If accessing the office via public transport, the closest bus stop is located outside the Alice Springs Post Office, a short 60m walk away.

There are two paved entrances into the building from the sidewalk. Both are gated with the smallest of these being 145cm wide (off Hartley St). There is a 5cm high step into the building from the Hartley St entrance and a 10 cm high step from the main entrance off Parsons St. Both main entrances are double doorways, 115 cm wide.

Office Access

The main entrance off Parsons St has a double gate that can be opened onto a concrete paved area 148cm wide.  This pavement width is reduced to 98cm wide when it turns on a 90 degree angle leading into the main doorway.

Entry to the building is via a double doorway that provides 115cm access when fully extended. The doors open into the building. There is a step 10cm high into the reception.

Entry into our larger function space where meetings and workshops are held and a hot desk is located. This doorway is 100cm wide. The same style of ramp provides access to the kitchen from the larger function space and this doorway is also 100cm wide.

Alternatively, entry can be offered via Hartley St through a gate 148cm wide and along a level, straight concrete path 100cm wide.

The main doors via this entry point are 100cm wide and are accessed via a 5cm step.

Bathroom access is via the kitchen through a 100cm wide doorway and down two paved steps. There is a 1 cm high lip between the floor inside and the step outside.  The first step from the kitchen is 30cm long and 17cm deep.  The second step is 35cm long and 16cm deep.

There are three steps up into the toilet block. Each step is around 17cm high and 28cm long. Although paved, please note the ground is not level.

The door into the bathroom building opens to 75cm wide. There is a small entrance area which leads either straight into a vanity room and then a toilet or turns left into a second vanity room and toilet cubicle. These doorways are all 75cm wide and the entire width of the toilet cubicle, once inside, is 95cm. 

Hand basins and toilet fittings are all standard size and do not not have any additional ability aids such as handrails, modified seats, etc., fitted. There are NO handrails with any of the steps at building entry/exit points.

Rehearsal Space Accessibility

MusicNT's rehearsal space is located at 96A Winnellie Road, Winnellie. This space is available to rent but bookings are required and can be completed via the Rehearsal Space booking page. 

A number of arts organisations utilise this building and MusicNT's rehearsal space area is numbered 7 on the building map below.

Initial entry to the space is required through the front door off Winnellie Rd which is 99cm wide but can be extended to 120cm wide.

From the front entry, you will be required to make your way through a door on the opposite wall to the front door, that is 90cm wide. This will take you through to the rear of the building where the bathrooms and rehearsal space are located.

The entrance to the rehearsal space is 102cm wide and has a 16cm step up for access. Please note, there are two doors due to soundproofing. One door opens outwards and the inner door pushes inwards.

The accessible bathroom contains a shower and toilet and is accessed through a door 90cm wide. This bathroom facility contains support railings and accessible seating.

Once initial access has been granted, musicians can bump in their equipment via the driveway on the east side of the building (area 8 on the building map). This roller door is opened from the inside and is located approximately 15m from the rehearsal space entry.
