Discrimination
NT Anti-Discrimination Commission
The NT Anti-Discrimination Commission can provide information about your rights and responsibilities under anti-discrimination law. They also accept, investigate and help resolve complaints of discrimination.

Sexual Health/Violence
Sexual Assualt Referral Centre
The Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), provide medical assistance and support for people who have recently been sexually assaulted. They also offer free counselling for victims of sexual violence and their family members and/or partners.
In Alice Springs and Darwin SARC operate 24-hours a day, in Tennant Creek and Katherine they can be contacted 8am-4.21pm.

Ruby Gaea
Ruby Gaea provide free, confidential counselling and support to women around Darwin who have experienced sexual assault. Call 8945 0155 (8.30am-5pm weekdays) or visit their website.
Women's Safety Services of Central Australia
WoSSCA provide a women's shelter in Alice Springs as well as counselling and legal support from those suffering from domestic and/or sexual violence.

Clinic 34
Clinic 34 is a specialist sexual health service that provides testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV and AIDS. All services are free and confidential. You do not need a Medicare Card
Services include all of the following:
- testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections including HIV
- emergency HIV prevention medication
- condoms and the emergency contraceptive pill, also called the morning after pill
- referral service for general practitioners (GP) and other primary health carers
- needle and syringe program outlet - for other outlets contact Northern Territory AIDS and Hepatitis Council.
The Darwin clinic operates Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30am to 3.30pm and Tuesday 8:30am to 6pm. Call 08 8999 2678 to make an appointment.

Family Planning NT
They offer bulk billed consultation with LGBTQI+ friendly doctors who specialist in a range of contraceptive and sexual health services.

Mental Health
Northern Territory Mental Health Line
A free and confidential hotline for mental health inquiries from anyone experiencing a mental health crisis or concerned about someone's wellbeing. Free call 1800 682 288 (24/7).
Lifeline

headspace
headspace is a free and confidential service that supports young people aged 12 to 25 with their mental health and wellbeing. Headspace provides assistance in 4 key areas: Mental Health, Physical and Sexual Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) and Vocational Support (Work and Study).

Beyond Blue
Beyond Blue provides information and support to help everyone in Australia achieve their best possible mental health, whatever their age and wherever they live.

Alcohol and Drug Information Service
A free service for those who are having issues with alcohol, are concerned about someone else’s alcohol use, or just have general questions about alcohol. Call 1800 250 015 (24/7).
Top End Drug and Alcohol Service
Top End Alcohol & Drug Services offer medical management of alcohol or other drug withdrawal, care planning, counselling, intervention and information. Call 8922 8399.
Alcohol and Other Drugs Service Central Australia
ADSCA are a non-residential service providing specialised alcohol and other drug assessment, treatment, referral and managing withdrawal at home. Phone 08 8951 7580.
Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous is a free support service for people seeking sobriety. It is run by recovering alcoholics and provides regular meetings to share experiences and support each other, it does not offer professional medical support.
Both online and in-person meetings are offered in Darwin, Alice Springs, Katherine, Palmerston, Rapid Creek, Stuart Park, Parap, Nightcliff, Humpty Doo and Jabiru. Visit their website for meeting times and to register for an upcoming session.
