In a HUGE announcement yesterday, APRA AMCOS informed members that $1.5m in live performance royalties would be paid out for cancelled gigs caused by the latest wave of COVID.
Australian and New Zealander APRA members who lost gigs from October 2021 to 28 February 2022 due to cancellation or COVID infection can claim royalties via the website for payment in March 2022.
To receive the royalty payment, artists have to be an APRA AMCOS member, their songs need to be registered, the gig must’ve been cancelled not postponed or re-scheduled and they must submit their report by 11.59pm (AEST), 28 February this year.
