
The Music NT RAMP (Regional Areas Music Program) Initiative is a long term program dedicated to engaging and providing skills development and performance opportunities to regional and remote musicians in the Northern Territory. Keep checking back here as more programs are announced throughout 2010.
NT Libraries Workshops – Tiwi Islands
Music NT in partnetship with NT Libraries delivered workshops in childhood literacy by recording childrens songs in Milikapiti community. Working with community members from Milikapiti and Nguiu a number of sings teaching children how to read were written and recorded. These songs will be availale throughout the Northern Territory library system as an accompanying disk to a song book produced by the community.
Community Workshops
Music NT in partnership with Red Cross, Browns Mart and Skinny Fish Music are engaged in delivering a comprehensive music workshop program across 7 communities in the Northern Territory. These communities are Maningrida, Oenpeilli, Jabiru, Warruwi, Minjilang, Daly River and Wadeye and will provide skills development and performance opportunities.

Bush Bands Business
Music NT coordinated a program of mentoring and development for musicians in Alice Springs as part of the Bush Bands Bash event which is held within the Alice Desert Festival. These activities have been made possible through the support of Arts NT and will provide intensive development work for each band with dedicated mentors working on live performance, studio techniques and marketing.
Music NT has partnered with the Bush Bands Bash and CAAMA to continue these workshops in 2010.
