MusicNT Trade Missions Program

MusicNT is proud to introduce the Trade Missions Program, designed to support the Northern Territory (NT) music industry in expanding their reach to international and national markets. This initiative provides financial assistance to selected participants, enabling them to attend major international and national music conferences and events that align with their career goals and the strategic development of NT's music industry.

Program Overview

The Trade Missions Program aims to:

  • Alleviate financial barriers for NT artists and managers seeking international and national exposure.
  • Facilitate participation in key global music conferences and events.
  • Enhance the professional development and international networks of NT music professionals.

Funding Details

Selected participants will receive contributions ($5,000 for international and $2,500 for national) to cover expenses such as:

  • Travel and accommodation costs.
  • Event registration fees.
  • Other relevant expenses associated with international conference attendance.

Applicants are encouraged to request only the amount necessary for their participation, ensuring the program can support as many individuals as possible.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Trade Missions Program, applicants must:

  • Be based in the Northern Territory.
  • Be actively involved in the NT music industry.
  • Demonstrate a clear plan for international market engagement.

Selection Process

Applications will be evaluated based on:

  • The potential impact on the applicant's career and the broader NT music industry.
  • The strategic value of the chosen international event.
  • The applicant's preparedness and ability to leverage the opportunity effectively.

Application Rounds

The program will offer four Trade Missions over the next 12 months:

  • Mission 1: Reeperbahn - 17-20th September 2025.
  • Mission 2: To be announced
  • Mission 3: To be announced
  • Mission 4: To be announced

Applicants must submit their proposals before the specified deadlines for each round.
